According to the World Bank, Tanzania's economy has been growing steadily for the last decade.
One of the companies that has benefitted most from that growth is Mohammed Enterprises Tanzania Limited (METL).
Meeting the day-to-day needs of ordinary consumers, it makes products that range from cashew nuts to toothpaste, bicycles to soap.
And they are all gradually being united under one brand called "Mo" - named after the company's chief executive, Mohammed Dewji. The BBC's Lucy Hooker met up with him in Dar es Salaam.
