American people donate books to Makongo Primary School

Tanzania Country Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. Ms. Ellen Peterson presents, on behalf of the American people,  600 English books to the Head Teacher of Makongo Primary school, Ms. Emericiana Kalanga during a brief event held at the School in Dar es Salaam today on September 19, 2011. Witnessing are School Board Chairman Mr. John Odero, teachers and pupils of Makongo Primary School.  The American people have been supporting efforts to improve quality of education in Tanzania by providing text books, Peace Corps science, mathematics and ICT  teachers.
