kampuni ya simu za mkononi ya Airtel chini ya mradi wa millennium village

Wahudumu wa sekta mbalimbali za kijamii wilayani Uyui
Mkoani Tabora na Wanafunzi wa shule ya Sekondari ya Ilolangulu mkoani humo
wameanza kunufaika na mradi wa Millenium Village unaowawezesha kuunganishwa na
kujifunza kupitia wa mtandao wa Airtel kwa huduma za Internet na za simu
ya bila malipo.
Hayo
yamebainishwa na Wahudumu wa sekta za Elimu, Afya, maji na Kilimo baada ya
Kampuni ya simu za mkononi Airtel kuwapatia msaada wa laini za
simu na kuwaunganisha kwenye huduma za internet na kupiga simu bila
malipo yoyote. Mradi wa millium village ulianza toka mwaka 2013 kwa lengo la
kuwawezesha watoa huduma waishio vijijini kukusanya takwimu za kila mwezi kwa
njia ya mtandao, kupatiana taarifa za utekelezaji wa kazi zao na kuwafikia
wanufaika kwa urahisi
Wakizungumza kwa nyakati tofauti baadhi ya Wahudumu wa
sekta hizo wamesema wameendelea kunufaika huduma za Airtel chini ya mradi
huo na kuzitumia vyema katika utekelezaji wa kazi zao
“mpango huu umeturahisishia kutoa huduma za afya kwa
jamii ya mbola hususani kwa wamama wajawazito na watoto kwani tunapowatembelea
majumbani mwao tunaweza kuwasaidia kwa kuwasiliana na wenzetu kirahisi na pia
kuchukua takwimu zao na kuziweka kwenye application maalumu ijulikanayo kama
CommCare Application na taarifa zao zinasomeka kirahisi na kwa wakati katika
vituo vyetu vya afya. tunashukuru sana Airtel kutupatia huduma hizi bure
kwani mawasiliano ya simu ni muhimu sana na yanachochea kuwa na jamii yenye
afya bora kwani toka mwaka 2013 hapa mbola hatujawahi kuwa na kifo cha
mama mjamzito na mtoto mchanga alisema Mhudumu mkuu wa afya vijijini katika
cluster ya ndola , Charles Masanja”
Naye Kaimu mkuu wa shule ya Ilolangulu, Jumanne
Mailani amesema kupitia mtandao wa Airtel na chini ya mradi wa (Airtel Connect
to lean) Wanafunzi wanauwezo wa kupata taarifa mbali mbali za kimasomo
kutoka ndani na nje ya nchi na hivyo kuongeza uelewa na ufaulu shuleni hapo.
Lakini pia wanafunzi wetu wanapata fursa ya kujifunza masomo ya komputa na
kuunganishwa na huduma za internet na kupata nyenzo zaidi zinazowaongezea
maarifa katika masomo yao.
Kwa
upande wake Ayub Kim , Mraditi wa kitengo cha miundo mbinu Milllenium Promise
Tanzania alisema “Tunashukuru sana Airtel kwa kushirikiana nasi kupitia
program hii ya Milllenium Village ambapo mpaka sasa huduma za Airtel zimekuwa
msaada mkubwa katika kuendesha huduma mbalimbali hapa mbola na kuwafikia wakazi
zaidi ya 45,000. Tumeanzisha Saccos yetu ambayo pia inaendeshwa kwa kutumia
mtandao wa bure wa internet na simu kutoka Airtel na pia tumepata mavuno mengi
sana toka kwa wakulima kwani tunaowatoa huduma ambao wanatoa elimu kwa wakulima
ili kuinua kilimo chao. Kwakweli tumepata mafanikio makubwa kwani tunawawezesha
watoa huduma katika sekta mbalimbali kama vile , kifedha, kilimo,elimu , maji
na afya kunufaika na huduma hizi za mawasiliano za Airtel na kuongeza ufanisi
zaidi.

Airtel support health, agriculture and education
stakeholders in Tabora

·Student, health workers and farmers
are connected to free mobile service for easy access of information
Workers
in various sectors at uyui district in Tabora region and student form
Ilolungulu secondary in the region have benefited from Millennium village
project which enabled learning and connecting to the internet services through
Airtel mobile communication services at no cost
This
has been notified by workers in education, health, agriculture sector following
Airtel support in provisioning of mobile simcard with free talk time and
internet bundles to performer their duties. In 2013 Airtel through Millenium
village project donate this aid with the purpose of facilitating workers in
remote areas accumulate data online, access information online in order to
reach out to the community effectively
Speaking about the program Charles John Masanja,
Senior Social Health Worker in ndola Cluster said” this program has simplified
health services in mbola, we are now able to attend to emergency, assist
patient at home especial pregnant women and babies by communicating to our
colleagues while in the field for further support. We have also managed to
collect patients’ data and upload them in our application called “CommCare
Application” to be viewed by staff in health centers on real time. We
thank Airtel for this support as communication is key in nurturing a health
community
In his
part, Assistant head master for Ilolungulu Secondary school, Jumanne Mailani
said” through Airtel services and under the project dubbed “Airtel Connect to
Lear” student from the school communicate and share information through the use
of Skype programme with students from New Canaan School which has enhance the
school performance. Teachers and students are benefiting a lot through the use
of internet to search materials and for email communication purposes.
Additional our student are now taught computer courses and acquire necessary
ICT skills at ordinary level
On his
side The Millennium promise Tanzania iCT, E-health specialist, Ayub Kim said”
we started this program 2013 and today we are witnessing lots of success,
various sectors including health, water , financial institution (saccos)
education and agriculture are all connected to Airtel services and offer their
services in more efficient manner. As it is in health sector we
also deploy Agriculture Community Workers to support farmer in their
agricultural activities, they have seen a significant increase of production
each year. We thank Airtel for partnering with us to enable more than 4500 in
mbola Tabora benefit from quality services powered by Airtel
communication tower.
