The Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Guido Westerwelle, issued the following statement on 10 September 2011 on the grave ferry accident in Tanzania:
“This tragic accident saddens us all. I convey to the Government and people of Tanzania our sincere condolences. In particular, our thoughts go out to the families and friends of the victims of this tragedy and those still missing.”
