Airtel, a telecommunication Company has launched the communication tower at Mgagao village, Mwanga district in Kilimanjaro region which will help in operation of four villages around Mgagao such as Makungwini, Mambarale, Kingondi, and pangalo.
Speaking during the launch, Airtel’s Northern marketing Manager Semshitu Msangi said that ‘’Airtel as the widest coverage telecommunication in Tanzania will proceed with its policy of giving the reliable network and affordable one to the people of rural village and urban areas, we know that communication has the big role in our community such as in implementation of security, upgrading the economic level.
Our focus is to make sure that, the community are together by doing so we are making sure that the rural areas are having the reliable communication and affordable because in rural areas is where there is a lot of challenges‘.
“Now day’s people of Mgagao village and the surrounding villages have the opportunity to access all Airtel products and services such as money transfer “Airtel Money” , Internet services ,and they enjoy affordable rates while calling and sending the messages, Msangi added”
On behalf of the people of Mgagao village, Mwanga District Council Chairman Ms.Theresia Msuya said “thanks to Airtel Telecommunication Company for giving us this unique opportunity of having reliable communication network here in Mwanga district.
"Thanks Airtel for your shore up to these communities which was real facing communication challenges we had before such as absence of network at all in Mwanga district. Also I would like to urge Airtel to ensure continuity of their plans for future rollout of their network in an effort to accelerate the rural development and economic enhancement of our people. We are together, and ready to continue improving the working environment to encourage more investment within our region rural areas.
"The launching of Mgagao tower will enable the neighboring village such as Makungwini, Mambarale, Kingondi and Pangalo to have communication network from Mgagao tower. We thanks Airtel for giving us the reliable and affordable network which have the widest coverage, that everywhere you go Airtel will be with you" Mwanga district ward Chairman Ms.Theresia Msuya added Airtel Tanzania is the mostly forehead company to make sure mobile communication is reaching all Tanzanians nationwide especially in rural village.
