PRESS STATEMENT

NBC management has of recent come across messages that are circulating within the social media channels carrying stories that NBC has become a victim of mass fraud ATM transactions in customers’ accounts, and urging customers to withdraw their balances.

NBC would like to inform our esteemed customers and the general public that the stories circulating in the social media are unfounded. However, ATM fraud transactions, also known as Card Skimming, are an industry wide concern that is jointly being resolved by all commercial banks under the auspices of Tanzania Bankers Association (TBA). 

NBC wishes to once again reassure our customers and the general public that the messages circulating in the social media channels are unfounded. NBC remains committed to serving our customers in the most convenient and innovative manner.

Uongozi wa NBC umebaini kuwepo kwa ujumbe kupitia mitandao ya jamii unayohusisha NBC na wizi wa fedha za wateja kwa kupita mashine za kutolea fedha (ATM). Ujumbe huo huo unahamasisha wateja kutoa fedha kwenye akaunti zao.

NBC tunapenda kuwafahamisha wateja wetu na umma kwa ujumla kwamba ujumbe huo hauna ukweli wowote. Papo hapo, matukio ya miamala ya wizi ni tatizo ambalo linaendelea kutafutiwa utatuzi na mabenki yote yaliyo chini ya Chama cha Mabenki Tanzania (TBA).

Tunapenda kuwahakishia wateja wetu na umma kwamba NBC inaendelea kudhamiria kuwapatia wateja wetu huduma bora na ya kisasa.
