OVER 6,000 M-PESA CUSTOMERS TO WIN CASH PRIZES

Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa Vodacom Tanzania Rene Meza akiongea na waandishi wa habari jijini Dar es Salaam hivi karibuni wakati wa kuazimisha siku ya wateja wa kampuni hiyo ambapo wafanyakazi wa kampuni hiyo walienda mitaani kuelimisha wateja kuhusu huduma ya m-pesa na promosheni zinazoendelea za punguzo la utumaji fedha la asilimia 75 na bonasi hadi asilimia 25 unaponunua muda wa hewani kupitia m-pesa.

* 100 will win today through MPESA promotion

2,300 Vodacom MPESA customers have won a total of Shilling 115 Millions since the beginning of the M-PESA Transact and Win promotion in mid-February 2012 whereby a total of Shilling 480 Millions to be won by MPESA customers.

The winners are all daily winners who won Tanzania shillings 50,000 each in the draws conducted daily. All the winners receive their prize money which is deposited in their M-PESA accounts daily aftereceiving a winning confirmation message.

When launching the M-pesa Transaction and Win promotion the Vodacom Managing Director Mr. Rene Meza said Vodacom is fully committed to ensure that our customers are happy and empowered while using Mpesa.

" This service has become a necessity in our day to day lives in the country, so will keep improving our system and services that we offer on Mpesa to ensure relevance to the daily lives of Customers" said Mr. Meza.

Another 100 winners will win Shilling 50,000 each today while we wait to see who will be the monthly draw winner next Tuesday  March 13, 2012.

To stand a chance of winning a daily cash prize, an M-PESA customer has to send a minimum amount of shilling 500 to another registered or unregistered M-PESA customer while for one to win a monthly cash prize of shillings 10.Million, an MPESA customer has to consistently use MPESA in sending money throughout a period of a month.

M-pesa to pay for a variety of services including utilities such as LUKU, DAWASCO, and DSTV. It can also be used to pay for local flights on precision air and coastal, pay school fees, deposit and withdraw money through CRDB Bank.
